XBox Companion App on PC Party Chat Quiet

So I recently made the switch to PC gaming exclusively from a PS4. This means I can now join Xbox parties with my xbox friends. However, I've noticed that the party chat volume is always quieter than like discord and in-game chat. Its almost to the point
I'd rather have game chat than party chat, as when the game has a tendency to get loud I cant hear my teammates very well. I have asked several of them if they could turn their mics up but they tell me their mics are as high as they can get and they say they
can hear each other just fine. I have checked and party chat volume is all the way up in the settings. Is there some other secret volume control that I'm missing or something that I can change to make it sound better? I've tried multiple headphones, equalizers,
audio inputs, nothing seems to work. I have to just turn my game volume down and hope no one is sneaking up behind me cause I cant hear footsteps very well. Any help that anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated!

I assume you're using the Xbox Game Bar to join parties? If so, could you try using either the Xbox Beta app, or the Xbox Console Companion app and see if you have the same volume issues? Hopefully it's just a Game Bar issue.

First thing to check is the settings for Game Bar. In the settings there is a Party Chat tab for setting the volume. Check it in there, see if you can set that higher.

In addition to that, what I use on my PC for audio is a Windows 10 app (that is free and AMAZING) called EarTrumpet.

It does great managing audio devices, setting defaults directly from the task bar and even changing application specific audio levels, as seen in the image below. You could turn up Game Bar denoted by the icon or turn other items down.

the double audio im hearing is coming from the companion app on my pc that im using to stream from my xbox. its not from streamlabs. im getting the audio from my xbox and my pc via the companion app. but im using the companion app to use party chat to
talk. so i cannot mute it because it then mutes the party chat audio and im not able to hear my party.

Install the Xbox Companion app if you haven't installed it on your PC. Then open the Xbox app and see if you can create a chat party there.

To be sure, are you using the Xbox app or the Console Companion App? Party chat has been discontinued for the Console Companion App.
