    Xbox Companion app microphone strangeness.


    I have been play COD Warzone through this app and the microphone does not work. I have made sure the app has the permissions, the microphone I want is set as default and the symbol appears saying that the app is using my microphone. I also made sure the party chat options has the microphone selected. I am trying to use the in game system of voice by the way, not trying to talk in a party. Is there a possibility the game is trying to use my controller input which has no microphone rather than the app? If not, what steps should I take to try and resolve it?

    Could be an issue with your microphone. Check the settings in the Xbox companion app and make sure your volume is turned all the way up.

    Did you go into Start -- Settings -- Apps -- click on Xbox Console Companion, select "Advanced Options" and make sure the box under "App Permissions" is checked for Microphone?

    Can you check in the privacy settings of your phone that you have allowed the app to access your phone's microphone?
