Xbox companion app messaging

Hi,

I updated the Xbox app recently and wow how I regret it.

I now don't receive messages from non-friends on the app, they don't appear in chats. They only go to chats after a reply has been sent via the Xbox, which is ridiculous.

Also, there seems no way to send messages to, or search, non-friends, such as the user who I'm playing against at the time. Before the update there was a way to see 'Recent Players'.

Messaging non-friends appears to be totally broken.

If anyone has any fixes, I'm desperate to hear.

And is there a way to go back to the previous version, or are we stuck with this style-over-substance rubbish, do you know?

There is no way to really fix it. On the good side though, there is rumor they'll be trying to bring back a lot of the features they removed due to the amount of dislike the most recent update has received.

Xbox Console Companion App to verify any unread messages.

on the companion app I had no error messages, but on the mobile app i got error message 0x80000005
