Xbox Companion App Insta-Crash

I've tried both the normal and the beta versions of the app to no avail (same problem in both cases, really), and have ensured everything is up to date (the app, the Store itself, Windows, etc.) and tried every permutation of these already (trying the non-beta
app, trying the beta app, trying the non-beta app while the beta app is also installed, trying the beta app while the non-beta app is also installed).

All I can do now is hope the game that requires the Companion App will switch to using the Xbox app at that point in time, because said app opens just fine, beta or not; unfortunately it doesn't allow me to bypass the original issue, which is that the game
I want to play (while I can launch it through the Xbox app!) won't register my access unless the Companion App is functional.

Still, if you have any ideas as to how to fix this on a file by file basis I'm open to suggestions.

Tive o mesmo problema junto com um amigo, a unica solucao que encontrei foi instalar novamente o sistema do windows.

1. Click on Start and select Settings.
2. Go to Update and Security.
3. Click on Troubleshoot tab.
4. Scroll down to the bottom and click on Windows Store Apps
5. Scroll down to the bottom and click on Windows Store Apps

Reset the Xbox App

1. 1. Click on Start and select Settings.
   2. Go to Apps.
   3. Click on Apps and Features.
   4. Now search for Xbox App and select the app.

Thanks for reaching out to us, I can provide some details in order to help you out. If the application is crashing, double check to make sure it's not the Beta version of the application. Another thing is to make sure the App is up to date via the Windows
Store, you can do this by looking for the Windows Bag icon on the taskbar or going to the store page using the Search option in the bottom left of your screen. If those turn to not assist with the issue, then uninstalling and reinstalling the application will
also help as well.

If those do not resolve the issue, Xbox as a team has announced that they will be replacing the companion app with the Xbox app, as that may also be the cause of the issue if you're running on the Beta version of the application. The link to upgrade will

Unfortunately, it solved nothing. I tried that already, but tried it again just in case, to no avail.
