Xbox companion app and lag

Hi all.

First of all I tried to see if the subject had been mentioned before but couldn't find anything. If it was I'd be happy to see it with a link.

Now. I like to stream my xbox on my pc with the companion app, as it allows me to have internet pages for achievements on my second screen while playing.

The stream works fine, except when unlocking achievements. When I unlock an achievement, the app freezes for 2 to 4 secondes, making the game unplayable during that time. Then it resumes normally after the notification has come and gone.

My question is : is the app malfunctioning in some way, or is it my computer? I tried with a more recent computer, and although the lag wasn't quite as severe, it still was there. Is there some way for me to check where this might come from? I don't have
any illusion as I do think it's my computer's problem, but it'd sure be nice to check and confirm

Definitely an odd issue. Have you tried shutting your pc fully down then on again? You could also try uninstalling then reinstalling the app itself.

What are the specs on your pc?

I already shut down every non system apps.

I disabled automatic launch on steam, battle.net so now when I start my computer nothing but system apps will launch.

I have the same lag whether I use the Xbox app only or if I launch something else on the side so it doesn't seem to be affected by that.

I wasn't able to find anything. What have you tried to resolve the issue? Do you have a lot of apps running in the background if so try shutting those down and see if that helps.

I could have sworn I tried uninstall several times in the past, once after a complete reset to factory settings of my computer (unrelated other issues)

But 10th time's the charm I guess because I did not see any lags this time.

I always shut down my pc completely when I'm not using it so I'm covered on that part.

I think I've tried uninstalling the app but no hurt in trying again to be sure I'll keep you posted
