Xbox Companion App and Game Bar not showing friends list on PC

I am having an issue with Xbox Companion app and Game Bar not showing the friends list on PC. Both come up with the error message "We can't show your friends right now. Try refreshing the app. Something went wrong." I have restarted the app and even restarted
my computer. My buddy who is on xbox is not having any issues and xbox live services say that they are all up and running with no issues. Saw one method about joining a random club and then the friends list will show up. I'd rather not sit and wait for a club
to accept my request to join.

Update: I just tried to join a club but I am receiving an error message saying something when wrong loading the info on it.

I was having the same problem, the problem is that xbox gamebar isn't actually installed.

Download the Xbox app from the store, then login and click your profile-->settings-->general, and it should show you a message at the top saying xbox game bar isn't installed and it will install it for you.

Player30219361 is showing on any Xbox game on PC on either single-player or multiplayer games, it is also showing on Xbox Console Companion, but not on Xbox app or game bar

I am experiencing a similar issue. Almost as if my account was hacked. My friends list is empty and when my buddy on his xbox attempts to click my gamertag he gets a message that says "opps that didn't work." I also could not sign into any of the pc xbox apps (console companion, new console companion, game bar) and it was the same across my cell phone, my pc, and my xbox.
