Xbox Companion and Game Bar Party Chat

Discus and support Xbox Companion and Game Bar Party Chat in XBoX on Windows to solve the problem; I am unable to get my mic to work in Party Chat, no matter the device I choose to use.     Xbox Companion and Game Bar Party Chat


    I am unable to get my mic to work in Party Chat, no matter the device I choose to use. I also cannot hear anything but static, when my friend talk's.

    I hope Voicemeter Banana shouldn't cause any issue's.

    I'm having the same issue. Unable to connect to party chat using Xbox Game Bar and Xbox Companion. It started between 8pm and 830pm EST.

    if you are using game bar sometimes it will do that when the bar is closed while playing a game or doing anything else. i think your best bet for a party would be to use xbox console companion. i have yet to have a problem with party chats when using that.

    If you have the latest update, then party invites don't go to the Xbox Console Companion app anymore, and they go straight to the Game Bar. Same for party chat on the PC.

    To access the Game Bar, just press the Windows button and G at the same time, you should be able to see your invites there.

    Hi,

    So you can start a Voice Chat with another player, and then add other people to that voice chat (or they can join in). Starting a Voice Chat with someone on Windows 10 via the Game Bar is a One-to-one to start, and you can't just start
    an "empty" party as you can on Console unless you use the Console Companion app.

    This page has a few     more details on the Game Bar, but additionally I believe you can still use the Xbox Console Companion App to start a party as well in the more traditional manner.
