Xbox Community Role with Disasters and Epidemics/Pandemics

As with all afflictions, I ask myself what can I, what can we do? I hate feeling out-of-control and unable to help. I have to step back and make sure I do not become a part of hysterias that sometimes evolve!

First, I have to remember to stay calm and do what I can, not just want to do more. Checking facts from qualified sources is key. Spreading good and real information is critical. Rumours and hearsay may be exciting are not helpful. We cover a large portion
of the world and as a community, we can provide helpful support disseminating good information. LOL, our games, however realistic are not indicative of reality.

Follow the practices ourselves! Good practices to not spread germs (even computer viruses which can even infect our consoles) and smart uses of our resources can contain issues and make them solvable.

Helping qualified organizations! Using our Rewards to support the various organizations vetted by Microsoft puts funds in the right hands. Giving to those charitable organizations instead of a 3 months pass or a gift certificate for coffee is a sacrifice
befitting and benefitting our Community.

Stay in contact! Many of our friends have to stay indoors. It is tough, scary and depressing. We are unique in that we touch real lives around the world in a positive and hopeful way with gaming.

Lastly, for me, keep it "our" problem, stay involved. Just because it is not directly affecting me it is sometimes easy to think there is nothing I can do, resigning myself to assign others to take responsibility. There is always something I can do and like
this post, if I don't know, I can reach out to others and ask

More often than not, internet personalities representing the community typically do fundraisers and other types of intensive work for raising awareness and contribution. I think as a community the best role we can serve is to support those who actually
have the means to act where we as individuals may not necessarily be able to. I think up until about last week there was a big list of charities on Mixer you could have donated to all benefitting the wildfires in Australia... so I think as a community being
able to stay informed and separate fact from fiction when big catastrophic things happen is probably one of the best things we can do. We're no help to anyone, not even ourselves, if we can't process and think things through properly before we act on it. You
know?

Well as an ambassador when i know i cant help people in the forums, i do step back but come back later to see answers, i learn from it and can help even more people through forums the next time. always learning to be better, not to mention im lucky to
be able to afford to attend alot of events that mixer and xbox ambassadors staff attend n get alot of good freebies that i like to giveaway in streams and share like gamepass seeing as i have almost 3 years and know ill get plenty to keep the my live free
and gamepass free

i live in Puerto Rico i Pass right know two mayor disaster in my country Be and ambassadors help me a lot i put a great effort to stay on top and help other and that help me to not be overwhelm. We have a group of gamer in facebook and we communicate and
try to help in real live each others i think gaming can change a lot we cold do activities to help and found funds to help others i do it in my place. is great sensation help. i do cosplay for sick child in hospital and play console game whit them they enjoy
a lot this activities.

I always try to help others out when I can, and try to check up on friends that I haven't heard from in a while to see if their ok.

I make it a point to donate my rewards points to charities every month. I really liked that Microsoft allows me to do so.

Seriously a big disaster. And their lack of support for this issue, even worse of a disaster. To even get me started on their lack of communication, it would just be a train wreck of a disaster.

Any of you guys get any promises of compensation for lost time?
