Xbox communications issue

Recently I have been experiencing a glitch that happens when I try to send a message I get stuck and I cannot move or get out of part where you type the message this issue has been very annoying especially when I cannot speak properly and directly due to
some Health issues I wish to see this patched soon as it not only been affecting me but as well as my friends.

Does this happen with other friends? I actually received a message from you, so it doesn't seem like it's universal across your account...

It seems to me that the issue is pointing to be originating more on your friends account than yours.

I would ask him to check your "friendship" setting on Xbox and make sure he's a Friend or Favorite (and you with his account as well). I'd also recommend that you and him review the Privacy and Online Saftey Settings for your accounts: Xbox One online safety and privacy settings
to see if they might be causing the conflict.

 

Communication Issue

Also it may not be a NAT problem because my friend can still tall to his other friends and even random game lobby people. The only problem that's put of the ordinary is that he can't hear me but I can still hear him and talk to his and random people as well
that can hear both if us.

 

EDIT: I have a way of getting rid of the issue for now by restarting my console but it will come back sooner or later which is a bummer.

 

Try doing a hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.
Once it is back up and operational test the results. Let us know if this resolves the issue. Good Luck!!
