Hi!

I just want to ask if my account will be able to see my friend's online status if I don't have Xbox Gold.

Also, will I be able to receive messages <PM> if I only use a silver account

Have no clue why I got a communication ban.

Communications bans are not just from voice communications but any form of communications

Here is a sample for the enforcement site about comm bans:

Communications Suspensions
Communication suspensions are imposed due to inappropriate conduct during communication activities on Xbox Live. This suspension blocks an account from accessing any communication features on Xbox Live, including text messages, voice messages, video communications,
Skype on Xbox One, in-game chat, and party chat. Communications suspensions are issued for a specified temporary duration, often of 1, 7, or 14 days.

Hey mate, you will definitely be able to see his online status as a silver account as well as receive messages and even chat in the private chat. You won't be able to chat in parties or use any online features in games though.

Well, they spend too much time on their products, see money is success in business, Making updates for the Xbox One, rolling out New prices on Hot Items, New computer systems, One little flaw with the marketplace is the least of their problems, Quote "God
Knows when it'll be fixed" Is to be in session for as long as Microsoft ignores the issue. Maybe addressing them personally will effect anything..
