Not sure if this information is useful but I was on smartglass going through and deleting all my messages as 'Everton' suggested above and every minute or so on my laptop I was trying to click a link on destinyLFG to send a message to see if it fixed it
on xbox.com or not...

As I was deleting my messages there was one message that when I swiped to delete it the cancel button was red instead of white like every other message had been. I thought that was strange so I screen shot it and straight after I deleted it I tried destinyLFG
and it worked! I could finally send messages again...

I have uploaded screenshots to show you what I mean.

So I didnt delete every message I had in my inbox but I deleted all of them up to the 'Red' message. I dont know if that is what fixed it or it had something to do with how many messages were in my inbox and it just so happened that it was the magic number
that fixed my inbox but if anyone else sees the 'red' message on their smartglass and it fixes it please share...

For the last week i have been unable to view friends or messages on xbox.com they work on smartglass and my xbox but not online which is where i most respond. Would appreciate if this could be fixed

It appears you have found a glitch in the system.

Confirmed to work for me at least. I deleted all my messages. however, I am in the preview program and I had one message from Xbox live. Not sure if that one was causing problems, but it works now. Try deleting all messages from the Xbox one Messages app.
then try again.

Having cleared the problem it has now started to happen again

Got a message on the XBone last night and now the Messages tab on the xbox.com site shows the glitch error message

Reckon when I delete the message the glitch will resolve

So its basically glitching the xbox forum site message tab unless I have zero messages.

This could do with being sorted. My workaround was posted over a week ago and this issue has been happening for closing in on 3 weeks for folks. It would be good if we could get a fix rather than a 'we are looking into it'

Just as a test, I had a friend sign in under my account (like a real friend, not an xbox live friend lol). He's in a different state than I am and it gives him the SAME message I get that everyone else on here is getting too. So don't let a Microsoft rep
try to spew garbage about it being your connection/etc because I just PROVED that it isn't. In fact, it is my account itself that seems bugged now.

The only good thing is that with Destiny's stupendously boneheaded move to not have a new raid in the next DLC, my motivation level to play destiny is through the floor and my need for destinylfg went with it.
