Xbox.com Unable to access Messages

So, I'm unable to access my messages on xbox.com, and I've been trying for hours. I don't know where to post this tbh, but this seems good enough.

I'm given about three lines of error code or something, and it says to try again later.

You see, the thing is, I find sending multiple long messages much, much easier on xbox.com, and so I've been waiting to inform my friends about something, but I can't because it just won't work. All services are "up and running".

Yeah, this really needs to be highlighted, as I find it hard to believe that I would be the only one experiencing this.

Unable to access messages on xbox.com

I was just chatting with a support rep and they told me there may be some kind of enforcement in place, however my messaging works just fine on the xbox one console and the smart glass app

 

You're not the only one, I've been experiencing the same for the last couple of days. Messaging on the console works fine, but on xbox.com it sends me to an "Uh-oh, that wasn't supposed to happen" page with some lines of code as you describe. Anybody have
any insight?

 

I have been having the same problem for the past several days. Messaging on xbox.com is not working for me. I get the "Uh oh....that shouldn't have happened" "You've found a glitch in the system. Please try again later" with a couple of lines of code. I
really like using xbox.com for messaging. I wonder how many other people are having this problem. Is Xbox aware of the problem?

I went in my smartglass app and deleted all of the messages and now I can access the messages page on xbox.com again. hope this helps

 

Okay, I deleted all messages in the smartglass app *except* an empty message from Xbox Live that seems to have appeared with the update to the new UI (just a guess, can't confirm). Still no joy. I *thought* that this empty Xbox Live message was some sort
of reserved system thing, but the smartglass app let me delete it, and once I did so, messaging on xbox.com started working again. Thanks for the tip, shotinthefoot2!

 

yeah not working for me either. I got the same thing has you did. Xbox chat isn't helping

 

I can't believe it. Deleted all my messages via the xbox app on my phone, signed out of xbox website on my mac laptop, logged back in and now I can access messages. How tragic that two xbox support chats had no idea to even suggest this. I really hope this
works for you all.

 

I was having the same issue.. so i logged into the smartglass app and deleted all of my messages.. now i can use messages on xbox.com but it's still not working on the W10 Xbox App. If I click messages, the app shuts down.

 

UPDATE - Signed out and back into W10 Xbox app and I am now able to access messages

 

I deleted only the xbox live empty message using my smart glass app and that worked for me. I didn't have to delete any of my friend's messages!

 

Right, so it's that Xbox Live message that's messing everything up, is it?

I downloaded the Avatar item from the Preview Program, so I guess I'll delete it.

Thank you guys for figuring this out. I just hope they've been working on backwards compatibility whilst they've been ignoring this.

I have been having this problem for WEEKS! Below is the message I receive on XBOX.com when I select the "Messages" tab:

Also, when I click the "Messages" link on my Windows 10 XBOX app, the app just shuts down. This has been going on for TOO LONG! This needs to be fixed ASAP!
