Xbox.com says I have an unread message...but I don't?

This is mildly annoying.

When I hover over my Gamertag on the site, the drop down list shows my friends and an apparent unread message.

This occurs in all browsers and only on Xbox.com.

Recieved a message from Live's gamertag?

Hi, I just logged into xbox.com a second ago and had an unread message set from Live's gamertag with no gamerpic. It says I can only read this message on my xbox? Any ideas why/who that would be or has anyone else received the same thing?

same problem, 4 unread messages.

They don't appear on: xbox.com, 360 smartglass, One smartglass

 

Hey there, Tye! This is an odd situation, but I believe that I might have an answer for you. Have you checked out your Friends page here on xbox.com? While it shows as a message, it may be a Friends Request that someone sent you while on the 360. Those show
as messages on the website, but will not show up as a friends request or message on the Xbox One.

Check out the Friends page here on the website, and get back to us! Hopefully that's where that hidden message is hiding.

It doesn't appear that I have a friend request from anyone.

 

I've had this for over a week,says I have a message when I don't so your not the only one.

edit:Typcal,it's disappeared now lol

 

mine says i have 5 msg's and no there not friend requests

 

Hey there, Trool! Be sure to click on the messages as you read them here on xbox.com, and to check the Friends page on here to be sure you don't have any friends requests from users on the 360, as those show up as messages. This thread is a bit old. If you
