xbox.com messages don't load

I know plenty of people have been complaining about this issue for more than a year but Microsoft chat support suggested I create a new post.

Messages work find on smartglass and xbone but don't load on Chrome, IE, or Firefox. The screen just sits and spins. I can SEND messages but can't view any. I've also tested on chrome for android using AT&T's LTE, same thing.

No other word.

It's not the browser, it's not the computer, not the ISP, not the account. This is an issue on Microsoft's end

xbox.com messages will not load

My xbox.com messages will not load. i have tried resetting everything. I have called CS so many times and they don't even know. It really sucks because I can't write messages online, I have to use the xbox and the using the controller makes it a long process.
By the time I have replied to an LFG add the slot has gone.

Any suggestions as MS have no idea. They did say that I am not the only one and I will probably have to wait for an update!

Sorry to hear you've been experiencing this issue. Have you attempted sending messages on both your console and on the Xbox website? If the website appears to be working and the console doesn't, we recommend that you remove and

re-download your Xbox Live Account onto your console.

Let us know if you're still seeing issues with messages!

 

There could be something missing on your account that could be giving you a problem. Xbox Support does not monitor the forums here.

You can run through these steps to make sure you're account is up to date and try again.

There's a lot of info here so read through the steps first.

1) Start by going to your account here -
https://account.microsoft.com/profile/

2) Make sure there's a First and Last Name on the account

3) The sign in email address that you used for the account, (don't post that info here) but if you used another email like a @gmail.com email address, make sure you completed the email address verification for the account

4) Where it says Edit your personal info, click on that and update your info there

5) Where is says Edit your billing info, click on that and update your info there

6) Go here - https://account.microsoft.com/security

- under Update your security info click on Update info

- make sure you have a phone and email on your account so you have options to verify or recover your account

7) After your account info is all up to date, remove the account from your Xbox console and hard reset it (press the power button down on the front of the Xbox One for 15 sec, then let it go and restart it)

8) Then add your account back to your Xbox One and try to send a message again

Xbox staff do monitor these forums or at least they used to.

I've done all those steps except for the parts on the console, I've even disabled and re-enabled 2FA. Resetting on the console won't have any effect. Even if I didn't have a console, I should be able to read messages just fine. It seems to be an issue
that started when they incorporated Skype into xbox messages. I don't think this is an account issue...

It's these forums.They are a mess since they changed them & despite tons of feedback nothings changed.

You might be lucky & get a staff member on here from time to time but don't hold your breath,they don't bother with the forums anymore really.
