Xbox codes when they don't work, from second hand games

When you buy a second hand game, and the codes have been used, do you know how you can buy new code for the any game, so you have full access to the game. On any game on xbox one and xbox 360.

What do you do.

I have this on xbox 360 and 1. My 360 game was second hand when i redeem my xbox 1 code will it work with 360.

I don't have any issue with online passes - when you are buying a second hand game, I'm sure you are more then aware which ones require the code (and added expense) and those that don't.

You have to weigh up if the saving on the second hand copy covers the price of the code....if it doesn't buy the game new.

 

If it's for items that are available as extra add-ons, you can buy them in the Xbox store. Otherwise there is no way to get a new code unless you buy a brand new game.

When buying pre-owned games you run the risk that the other player used the codes for the game. Some of these are one time premiums that can no longer be bought. Others may be special add-ons or DLC that you may be able to buy again from the Microsoft store.

Disc games.....

Only the disc works like a license.





Miles PH 140372 You will need to try to find if the add ons or DLC's are available to buy on the store. The codes of course wont work because only can be redeemed
one time.

 

You would have to do what Smwutches said to do.

 

Smwuthces is right, there's nothing you can do but buy a new game if the code isn't available on the Xbox Store.
