    Xbox code redeemed on wrong device


    I'm new to Xbox, purchased a game from Amazon while on my laptop and there was a button to redeem the code. Because I was signed in with Microsoft Account I assumed it would work on the Xbox but can't see it there. What I've done is redeemed the code on
    the wrong machine. Does that mean I've got to purchase the game again and make I sure I redeem the code on the Xbox or can I transfer the code?

    The code would be tied to the account that redeemed it, not the device. The only way it only be available for the PC, is if the code was for something that was only for PC. If you were signed into your account when you redeemed the code, you would need to sign into your son's console in order to download it. If you were signed into your son's account, he can find the game in his library under Games and Apps.

    Thanks guys for the quick answers. I thought it must be accessible from any device logged in with the same MS Account but simply couldn't see it on the Xbox menu system. Found it now thanks to your answers. Panic over and thanks again.

    Hi, if you redeemed the code on the PC with the same account that you use on the xbox you should be able to download the game in the console because all the purchase are related to the account and not to the machine.

    Have you tried searching the game in the xbox store?if you have correctly redeemed the code you should be able to simply install it
