Xbox code redeemed but it wasn’t me

Two days ago I bought a $25 Xbox giftcard. I didn’t immediately redeem it, and I went to do it today and it said it had been redeemed. My entire family didn’t even know that I bought it so they couldn’t have used it. I think somehow someone got the code
and use different it. So is there a way to get it back, or did I waste $25 dollars?

Need help redeeming my xbox live code

I tried redeeming the code in my browser on my computer using these instructions, big mistake. It said "thank you, you redeemed your code" and then exited me out. No gamertag registration whatsoever. I thought the whole point of redeeming my code was to create a gamer tag, but no just exits me out. I then tried redeeming my code on my xbox (so that I could create the gamer tag) and it said "sorry, code already redeemed."

so what the... what do I do now?

there should be an 800 number on the card for you to call, and you can provide the evidence that you're the purchaser from your receipt, they should provide you with a new code. Gift card distributors are responsible for distributing codes correctly, just like any other retailer are selling any other game

If the code you purchased says it has already been redeemed, you should contact the retailer as they should provide you a refund or replacement.

According to Xbox Support as well: "If you’re getting a message that your code has already been redeemed, make sure that you didn’t already redeem the code yourself, under a different Microsoft account.

If you live in a household where others have access to your codes, check that it wasn’t redeemed by someone else."

That did not fix it. When I redeemed the code it worked but like I said the money wasn’t being added to the account. It’s been like this for hours.
