XBox Club: The screenshot images are to dark to see any detail

I had a look at the Xbox App on Windows 10 and the image is fine as expected.

I don't have Xbox App for Android as I don't have an Android phone, I still have a Windows 10 Phone. But when I look at the images on the Xbox App for Windows 10 Phone the images are darker.... and smaller.

So it appears that

1. The Xbox web portal on Windows 10 displays images darker with some kind of 'gradient black' overlay.
2. The Xbox App on Windows 10 Phones displays the images darker and smaller.

Thanks for the response. I will try the HDR setting to off. The console I'm using is the XBOX One X.

With regards to the Sea of Thieves game, I do agree with you to a point. Once I had taken the screenshot I had a look at it under the Recent captures and I could see enough detail. That's why I posted it to the Club.

There were other Images that were to dark and I had to delete them.

I even had a look at the other images posted to the group and they to were dark. Notice how the image is lighter on the top and darker at the bottom.

This image was taken in game during "daylight" with no storm





Here is another. On my Console this image looks like a photograph. But on XBOX website this is what it looks like

So it may be the browser.

Try using your Xbox Android app to check your gallery, they should look better.

Are you playing on xbox one S or X with HDR ? HDR can make screenshots very dark or appear too be dark try turning off the HDR You can still capture in 4k without HDR you can also still capture in HDR and toggle the HDR off and on when you view the game
clip for each clip. Settings Preferences broadcast and capture

Something else too also mention is that the graphics in sea of thevies are very dark. For example the screenshot you took is at night and in a storm. The game makes it hard too see in this case on purpose has it isnt ment too be easy too see when sailing
at night in a storm. So it isnt really a issue just the fact that yes its dark because thats how its been intented too be
