Xbox Cloud - Why No Universal Touch Controls?

Hi there

Why does Xbox Games Pass Cloud gaming not use universal touch controls that are always the same and represent the standard buttons of the console controllers?

That way all games would be touch compatible and not just certain ones where (I assume) the developer has to create custom touch controls for their game.

This is where Stadia was better at. They had universal touch controls (representing all controller buttons) and all games could run via touch too.

Keep in mind it's only a few games that support touch

Most games support controllers only

Fortnite isn't one of the games that support touch

It's unlikely a PvP shooter would support touch as it requires fast reaction and sensitivity you don't get with touch but with controllers

Most of the games are pve with the exception of rts games or gears 5

Fortnite does work with touch. It says “Play with Touch” in Xbox Cloud Gaming
