Xbox Cloud Transfer Between Consoles

Hi there. Could someone tell me if there's a way to solve the following problem:

I have an Xbox One and often use backwards compatible games (from 360). I just played through The Walking Dead, Season 1 (a 360 disk) and saved my progress/choices to the cloud. Now I want to play through my Season 2 disk (Xbox One) and my choices won't
transfer over. Is there a way to resolve this? Would downloading Gamepass and playing through it there work? I'm not sure if my choices from a personal disk would transfer over to Gamepass, for the following game. It's all saved in the Cloud, but just not
sure how to move over my choices, in any form. Id obviously like Helpto use my own copy, but I'm open to something like Gamepass, if necessary. Help?

I don't think that save information can be read from 360 to Xbox One. Any 360 related saves would only be read while using the Xbox 360 emulator. The Xbox One cannot access 360 save files.

Thanks for clarifying. Sadly, it is not possible to transfer save data between the Xbox Cloud Gaming service and a locally installed console version of a game. The save data for games played on Xbox Cloud Gaming is stored on the cloud servers and is not accessible on a local console. Similarly, save data for games played on a local console is not synced with the cloud.

It depends on the game really...if it has cloud saves, then your data won't be lost as it is in the cloud (all my games I was able to continue where I left off when I transferred consoles).

Games which only have local saves would require you to transfer the saves between consoles before wiping the XB1 (unless of course there is a way to cloud save)

While you can continue your progress on the Xbox One by transferring the Xbox 360 saves to the Cloud, saves are not transferrable between accounts.

I'm not sure if that will work between the One and the Series X though. If it does, then your games would be transferred that way. Saves are stored on the cloud and would resync when you start a game.
