    xBox Cloud Not Accessible Even With Gold?


    Hi. I just got my new xBox One. I got a code for a free trial of xBox Gold. So...I figured I could use it to store and transfer my xBox 360 saved games. However when I get to the cloud it says I am not an xBox Gold member?

    So it only works when you pay?

    Hello!

    Thanks for reaching out to us here on the forums with this situation. I understand you want to access Cloud Saved storage on an Xbox 360 and its acting as though you don't have Gold. It is possible that trials wont allow you to use all features since its
    not a full fledged subscription. I recommend trying to remove and redownload your profile and see if it lets you use the Cloud saved storage. You can remove the profile by going to your "Settings" then select "System" then "Storage" pick the "View All" option
    then under profiles you can find and delete your profile. Make sure you pick Remove profile only NOT profile and items. Then you can redownload your profile from the Xbox Guide under "Download profile" when no one is signed in.

    Trials do not change your account status to gold. They only give you access to some benefits of online multiplayer. You would need a full gold subscription in order to access the cloud on the 360.

    XBL Silver accounts still have access to the cloud for game save purposes, so your games would still save on the cloud even if you let gold expire.

    Well Microsoft makes a lot of money anyways plus in a Xbox Live Gold Membership there is Games with Gold,Cloud Saved Games,access to betas or demos of games so too be honest I think Xbox Live would do even better with multiplayer being free
