    XBox Cloud Gaming On Windows 10 with 5G Internet


    I played a short game (less than an hour) of Jurassic Park on a 5G internet connection. Controls were pretty responsive and I didn't experience hardly any jittering, but there was a small amount. However, even playing from my web browser it was a major battery drain on my laptop's battery.

    About 5G and Xbox series X

    Most people play online with an internet connection either wired or wireless with a router that gets it's internet 'piped in' via Cable, fibre or a form A/DSL.

    5G on the other hand is a mobile internet connection. So it will only be of any benefit if you're connected via mobile internet. It's the fifth generation of the mobile or 'cellular network'. If you don't play specifically through 5G, then it won't have
    any impact.

    If you use Xbox Cloud gaming on your phone while out and about, then sure, 5G will have the best results.

    Sadly 4G is not ideal for cloud gaming, and there isn't a lot Microsoft can do to make it more accessible for 4G users. 4G suffers from higher latency which affects the responsiveness of a cloud gaming session.

    5G or fibre broadband will provide the best experience for gaming on the cloud. Over time, internet infrastructure will improve and 5G and fibre will be more affordable and accessible, which will also improve the accessibility of cloud gaming.

    cloud saves     will automatically start uploading once you’re signed in and connected to Xbox Live. Game save sync is usually fast, but allow a couple of minutes before you try playing on another device. The article that we provided refers to playing games
