Xbox cloud gaming on Series S powered by Series X

I recently got Xbox Series S console. It is great device with minimalistic design. I got it mainly for cloud gaming and it works great. I've been previously used cloud gaming on iOS devices and Mac and while the experience has been good it is much better on dedicated console.

My question is about cloud gaming being powered by Series X. Does this mean that when I stream a game in Series S it is actually Series X that I am playing? Doesn't that mean that I get Series X graphics on Series S console? And if I would download the game instead of streaming would the graphics be different as it is not streamed from Series X hardware anymore?

Sorry if this is complicated but it is bit confusing how the cloud gaming works using console and would be great to know more. The graphics looks great on Series S though and games stream well.

As two of you mentioned, cloud gaming is powered by Series X now, like I mentioned too.

I still have the same question. Isn't there also quality difference in graphics between Series S and Series X? Like textures are more detailed and shadows are rendered better in Series X? Now if Series X is used on cloud gaming, isn't those improvements then on Series S too via streaming from cloud? Or are the Series S and Series X exactly the same graphics wise in general but Series S just has lower resolution?

I understand that cloud gaming isn't 4K and there might be latency issues etc but that wasn't my question.

The Series X is physically larger than the Series S and has a disc drive where the Series S does not. The X will be more powerful and run games in true 4K.

The original poster bought an Xbox One S, not a Series S and was comparing it to an Xbox One X, not a Series X.
