Xbox cloud gaming mobile shortcut sign in crashes

On cloud mobile ios after pressing the sign in button on the homescreen it takes you to enter your email/password like normal, but after entering it the xbox logo appears (loading sign) and takes 4-5 seconds before its animation stops and the page clearly crashes. This send you back to the home page and if you press the sign in button again it just sends you to the loading xbox animation which once again loads for 4-5 seconds making you think it’s working but then freezes and sends you back to the home page. I am on Iphone 11 and have the latest update (ios 16.4.1) and my phone is barely 1 year old. I don’t see why I seem to be having problems. As a precaution I even closed my web tab as that’s what it recommends but it changes nothing.

Hello Sean_038, sorry to hear you're having trouble with your sign in.

If you're using the Safari browser to try and connect then I'd recommend downloading and using Chrome instead. Safari doesn't play nice with the Cloud.

Thanks for letting me know. Please try deleting then redownloading the app to see if that helps. Make sure to restart your phone before the delete and redownload.

Thanks for the recommendation. I was using safari but chrome seems to not work as well for the same reason.

I can log in at the site which is actually how I searched to post this forum. I still can’t sign in though.

That is odd then. Are you able to log in to your account at https://account.microsoft.com ? If so please try restarting your phone to see if that helps.
