    In-game voice chat is not captured on the Xbox DVR game clips - unless the game has a built in chat system that could make it record but it usually won't.

    Unfortunately, you cannot record the Xbox Live party chat due to privacy and online safety purposes!

    Hello Trixie, My name is Jesse. I'm an Independent Advisor and a member of the Microsoft community and I'd love to assist you today.

    You could try going to settings, general, volume & audio output. Then change the chat output to headphones and speakers. Then try to record a clip and see if its better.

    Although I discovered that if you remove your microphone from the controller the clip records everything, including the voices of friends.
