Xbox chatpad price$$

I need help understanding why I feel like I keep getting 'ripped off' when it comes to all these over priced accessories. The chatpad is 35$, the headset adapter 35$, the kinnect isn't supported, yet still glitchy if you add all this up your looking at 200$
over the rsp? I need a good answer to this before I make a change to the ps4 because with all the extras I bought I could of payed 3/4s of a ps4 that includes a built in audio jack and chatpad. See I wouldn't mind paying reasonable prices for the equipment
itself. BTW a keyboard can cost me 5$ a keyboard for my phone and tablet can cost me 5-10$ WITH BACKLIT keys..

I was one of those idiots who bought a kinect and to my surprise there's no voice to text! 1080p hd cam with audio but no voice to chat? This has been on your less powerful smart phones. So many turn offs Microsoft, just way to many.

Don't waste your money on a chatpad. The One supports USB keyboards for text input and they can be picked up for a fraction of the price of a chatpad.

 

How to set up and use the Xbox 360 Chatpad

You can easily chat with your friends on Xbox LIVE using the Xbox 360 Chatpad. The Chatpad is very helpful for sending text messages quickly.

How to connect the Xbox Chatpad to a controller

To connect the Xbox Chatpad to a controller, follow the steps below:

• First, you need to turn the controller and the Xbox 360 Chatpad so that the bottom of each faces up.
• The chatpad connector plug needs to be aligned with the controller’s expansion port. You have to align the two posts on the chatpad with the holes on the controller.
• Finally, you need to push the chatpad onto the controller with even pressure to attach. You have to ensure that there is no gape between the chatpad and the controller.

You can also connect an Xbox 360 Wired Headset or a mobile phone headset with the Xbox 360 Chatpad. To connect a headset, you need to plug it into the 2.5-mm audio jack on the chatpad.

Notes:

• You can connect the Xbox 360 Chatpad with both the Xbox 360 wired or wireless controllers.
• But you cannot use the Xbox 360 Chatpad with a controller connected to a personal computer.
