Xbox changed my GT. Now I have to pay to change it.

I would like to request that I get a free gamertag change since my gamertag was changed without my knowledge or a warning. It was deemed inappropriate, but in my eyes it was not; Only to some users. The previous GT was . Some how that was
inappropriate when I have seen a lot worse. I am currently very unhappy with the randomly generated one Xbox gave me to replace the old one, so I would like to change it without the $9.99 charge. Has anyone else had this problem?

I want to change my Xbox gt but it says i have already used my free name change. Ive never changed my name since i made my account over like 6-7 years ago. Ive had my name for years and i wanted to change it but my free name change has been used. I havent changed
it so now i have to pay £8 for a name change i should have for free.

 

Need help changing gamertag

So my GT was changed because it could be offensive if spelled backwards and they changed it to one of the automated ones and i can not change it back with out paying for it, I have no problem changing it but i do not think that i should have to pay to change
it, i have had the GT for a couple of years and they are just now changing it and expecting me to pay to make it what i want

 

There are many people that have had your "problem" and they all thought the same as you.

Your tag can be seen as offensive, as i am sure you know why.

I imagine you will lose that ambassador badge as well.

I would rock that "RapidJoey" tag like no one's business.

 

For the life of me I can't see how that GT could be considered offensive by anybody. If MS considers that offensive, then I don't see anything they couldn't find offensive.

 

Most of the tags getting banned lately are really just on the very edge of being offensive to someone, this being one of them.

It really isn`t offensive at all, and its only because there is a website of similar name that shows adult content.

As the OP seemed to only be claiming for a free change, rather than demanding his tag back, i think he knew what the other meaning was to begin with.

 

I was not aware of the other meaning I just knew I would never get it back I just want a name change. That is the only thing I want from this.

 

Seriously, what word hasn't been used in conjunction with porn? So should all those words be banned as well because they could be part of an adult websites title? If so, then they should ban all GT's because their are no words that couldn't be used thus.
I think MS went to far with this one.
