Xbox changed my gamertag

Today ive turned my xbox on to find that my gamertag has changed. Checked my emails to find one from xbox live stating that my gamertag broke the rules. Now my gamertag was not offensive... i have had it a while now. I spoke to support who claimed it may
have been offensive. Now im sorry but you could say that about loads of stuff. Someones could be "uk great" and that could offend someone else!! I could be offended that someones name was tomarto sauce!!

As it turns out support could not help me and told me only people that can sort this is here. Worst of all i paid 7.99 for that gamertag. Some sore loser probably reported me because i beat them. Then to top it off xbox gave me some randomised gamertag WearyCalf125559.
So... what if i say i find that offensive as im a vegetarian??????

I was willing to accept the rules and the stupidity and change it only to see xbox wants to charge me AGAIN!

That is completely unacceptable. Or is this what microsoft does to increase revenue??

Every now and again change peoples gamertags for a quick earner....

Please whoever is in charge please explain why my gamertag was removed. Someone made that decision. Please can that dirty minded person contact me

Anyone know how to change the name it had given me?!

I have been looking at this as for some reason, my GamerTag is my real name

It would appear that the only place you can change your GamerTag is on the XBOX itself however there is the small matter that Microsoft also want the best part of £7 for the privilege!!!

Like i stated above if i thought it was offensive and risked being removed i would not of chose it... and definately not paid 7.99 for it to risk having to pay again. I get it if it was one of the free gamertag changes you get when you join xbox live. I
PAID for that. I have had no direct email explaining how exactly mine was offensive.

The email may as well said... you cant have that gamertag, please pay again!!!

Just got off the phone again as no one is responding. Quick to remove my gamertag but not respond...

So ive been told thag i have been fined for for not following the terms. In my opinion i was. I was told it was sugesting a male organ. I disagree... wanger is not even a word in the dictionary. prime example. Mister balloons on here... you could say that
name is suggestive....

I asked if i changed my name to mr wanger if that was acceptable...which the bloke basically could not answer me.

What has this world come to?

I'm trying to change my classic gamertag which is the one you see in games. My classic gamertag got changed and my Xbox One and Xbox App gamertag stayed the same (the Xbox One gamertag is the ones they added with the new gamertag system).

My Xbox One gamertag is different to my in-game gamertag and I want my classic gamertag to be changed. You can only change your classic gamertag on the Xbox One console, I have tried using the other ways and you can only change your Xbox Gamertag, not your
classic gamertag.

The reason I want to change my classic gamertag is that the classic gamertag can be fifteen characters and the Xbox One gamertag can only be 12 characters. If I use the other ways to change my gamertag it limits me to 12 characters and sets both my gamertags
to that.

On xbox.com it says my gamertag is what i changed it to. But on xbox it shows my changed gamertag in games, but when i go to my profile it shows my old gamertag and right under it it shows the gamertag i did change it to.

You can
change your gamertag on your 360 and you can
change your gamertag on your Xbox One. Those are currently your only options.

Yes, changing the gamertag again should be possible, als changing back to your previous Gamertag is possible, as long as your original Gamertag isn't already taken by somebody else.

Keep in mind each change will require a payment.
