Discus and support Xbox changed from Open and Strict NAT in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; So my NAT was Open for about a month no issues recently it changed to Strict and I've had no success in getting it back to open.     Xbox changed from Open and Strict NAT


    So my NAT was Open for about a month no issues recently it changed to Strict and I've had no success in getting it back to open. I've port forwarded it have Upnp on and still no luck any suggestions?

    NAT Type is Open on Xbox One, But Strict on 360

    My NAT type on my 360 has suddenly changed from open to strict. Nothing has changed with my network, I haven't gotten a new router or modem, and my Xbox One still says that my NAT type is open. I've tried some different things to fix it, but I don't understand
    why my NAT type went from open on both consoles for a long period of time to strict on the 360 for no apparent reason.

    You cant port forward AND have UPNP on at the same time . may be confusing it...I would reset the router to factory defaults , then enable UPNP if it already isn't ....what model router do you have ?

    This happens to me often. When this happens to me I usually do a hard reset. To do that hold the Xbox button on your Xbox for APPROX 10 seconds. When I sign back on my NAT is back to open.

    If your nat is switching around it usually means your router is stuggeling with it...

    I was able to solve the issue, it was a connection issue between servers and router firmware

    Xbox One NAT settings keep changing.

    Mine is doing the same. Going from Open NAT to strict randomly. I follow the guide from this site and it reverts back to Open. From Open it goes back to Strict later on again. Always had an Open NAT on 360. It's not just me either. Many of my friends are
    experiencing same issue. NAT randomly changes from Open to Strict. Making the social experience of gaming and party chat awfully frustrating.

    With so many users experiencing these issues it surely can't be from user end but rather from Xbox end.
