    Xbox causing wifi to disconnect


    Hi, every time my son plays xbox live it causes our wifi to disconnect for a few minutes. There's never any wifi problems any other time. This is obviously making him a very angry teenager. Does anyone know why this happens or how to fix it please?

    use a lan cable or powerline adapters. if the xbox is between other devices and the router it can possibly reduce the signal strength.

    Prior to me wiring the house in cat6 cabling i was using lan power line adapters for my kids xboxs, if your internal wiring for power is ok then that can be a good solution as it transmits it the the power cables. they will also get increased speed and
    better latency (80% of the time)

    Network Issues?

    If you have something wired to the router it will take priority over the WiFi which can cause devices using WiFi to lag or disconnect from servers.

    Hooe that helps a little.
