Xbox causes errors and dc's from my router/internet

I have an Xbox 360 with hard drive

I have a d-link 615 router

I am using windows 8 on my computer.

if I do NOT connect the Xbox, I can go days and days and days without any problems with the router, I got cellphones and tablets connected without any problem.

The moment I connect the xbox, it is only a matter of minutes before I get dc and I get the message "intpreting host" on my computer and the green light on my modem saying I am connected to internet turns to orange and it remains such a way for anywhere
between 15 minutes until an hour or two hours.

if I try then connect to my pc directly passing my router up, it says it is an unidentified network.

That ONLY happens when I connected the xbox, and it does this things several times a day, not constantly but at least twice, sometimes 3 times a day.

I think the xbox is somehow sending a signal to the router that the router is not accepting and the signal to my ISP is then corrupted causing the network to become unidentified and needing a reset from the ISP (which occurs automatically I think)

either way, that is what it does and I do not know what is causing this and I need a fix, before I throw the xbox out the window, cause everything else works fine

on the network, but not the xbox.

Casting Video From PC to XBOX One - Using Data

I have a question about casting video from my PC to XBOX One. I need to know if I am using data, as my internet usage has a monthly cap. The PC and XBO are both on the same wifi device and router. I wanted to test this, so tonight I unplugged the internet from the router and tried to cast. I got an error on the XBO that would not let me cast the video. As soon as I reconnected the internet cable to the router, casting was no problem. Does this confirm that casting video is indeed using my data against my cap?

 

Can't sign in to my account.

Anyone else having this problem right now? I start up the xbox and It won't sign me in to my account/profile. Keeps giving me error 0x87DD0006. I tried re starting the router and got the same message. Internets running fine.

Sorry to hear about the connection issue! Do you happen to have more than one Xbox console that connects to your network? Looking at our forum on the

D-Link 615 router, it looks like there are some known issues. Follow the steps on the

Known Issues page to disable WPS to see if that helps. To avoid the unidentified network issue when you connect your PC directly to the modem, you normally need to power cycle both your modem and PC because the modem is looking for your routers IP address.

Post back and let us know if disabling WPS helps!
