    XBOX Case Review - Orange box with handshake icon not present


    Hello!

    I haven't used Xbox live in almost 15 years, so I was pretty surprised when I found out my account has a lifetime ban on it from 2013. Regardless, I have attempted to contact several people and no one can help me. There is no "Orange box with handshake icon" present when I'm on the enforcement page to submit a case review. When I attempt to use the "Contact us" tab, I get an error that states "Try again in a bit. Not sure what happened there" and a notification that says I'm offline.. which I'm not. (I've tried both of these things several times over the past 3-4 months)

    None of this would really matter to me except that I purchased MSFS 2020 on the banned account and now I can't use the expansion I purchased. When I created a separate account to play the game, none of the expansion planes are available.

    Hello, since its been banned in 2013 nothing you can really do about the account now. Any appeal would have been done back then. As far as the purchase of MSFS 2020 you would need to check billing on your account and see if it give you an option for refund. If not then you need to call in and speak with a representative. Right now its very hard to get in touch with someone, so be aware you might be on hold for a while before someone picks up.

    Hello there,

    You can check the ban details by going to the enforcement website here. Click on the orange handshake icon and if you dont see any orange handshake icon, it just means the team hasn't updated the site then you would have to check daily. Once you see your ban, you can case review it if it shows that option. In a case review, you explain the whole situation then the team reviews it and if you weren't at fault, then the ban suspension can even be overturned. However not all suspensions are case reviewable. Hope this helps!

    Sign in to enforcement.xbox.com with the Microsoft account that received the enforcement action, and then select the orange box with the handshake icon. If you have more specific questions about an enforcement action, you can file a case review.

    So I did that already and it doesn't not give me the option to file a review. My enforcement history is empty and it says "congratulations you have a perfect record!" In place of where that orange handshake icon is supposed to be.

    If you could, try a deferent device. Sign in to enforcement.xbox.com with the Microsoft account that received the enforcement action, and then select the orange box with the handshake icon.
