    Hi

    After I bought an xbox card, and like an idiot, scratched off some of the code, I'm trying to find a way to recover the code, I have the receipt and card, what should I do?

    Hi

    You can try speaking to where you purchased the card from but unfortunately I suspect there is probably not much you can do about this.

    If you are very lucky and have only rubbed one letter/number of the code and you may be able to guess it.

    How rigerously do you have to scratch off the silver part of a code card to scratch off the code?!?!?

    Hey JapanNoFurenchy,

    Be sure to scratch off the entire card, as the both codes are on one card. If you completely scratch off the card and confirm there are no codes on the card, the next step will be to contact Amazon to explain the issue and request an exchange. Unfortunately
    we are unable to replace codes that are included in Xbox One console bundles.

    I have exactly the same problem, my son scratched the silver panel off and scratched the first part of the code off, there is a bar code & number on the card so surely this can be retrieved???

    All Microsoft codes have 25 characters. If it's only showing 19, you may want to see if you can try returning the card or make sure you've scratched off the entire card (if it's a scratch off).
