    xbox cannot find set top box model


    I have a working remote code for my set top box model, but apparently after recent updates I need to provide a set top box model, which xbox refuses to find.

    The set top box is "mag 250", the remote code for it is 3220.

    I cannot get past model selection, what do I need to input there?

    When you say manually switch it back, do you mean through your set-top box controls, or where are you having to make this change? What is your model of set-top box and TV?

    Info for my issue

    1) Model of the set top box - Arris IPC1100 (Verizon Fios)

    2) The codeset configured for the box - C1376

    Sagemcom DTIW77 HD not recognized for IR-controll

    I can now confirm that this is fixed!

    Using the guided setup and choosing Sagemcom, the Xbox could not find my box, but when specifying Sagemcom and "DT" as the first letters in the model DTIW77 showed up in the list.

    From what I can tell my Xbox One can now control my set top box without a problem.

    Seems like Set-top box is very niche one for Indian market only and is not supported by Xbox. Also seems like it doesn't adhear to generic HDMI-CEC standard which allows basic controls over HDMI.

    If your Set-top box is not yet supported, I would visit Xbox Insiders channels and request support in the future updates. Check out reddit.com/r/XboxInsiders

    Create a thread with exact model of your Set-top box and hopefully support will be added for you in the future.
