Xbox cannot connect or find any cable/wireless network

Hi,

I just bought an xbox and at first start the network card is not working. The xbox is displaying a message like the network card is not working and needs to be repaired.

Whom should I speak to? I tried unsuccessfully to issue a repair ticket already.

Oh. and both my PC and Xbox one are connected to the network with a cable. They aren't connected wireless.

That error generally means you cannot connect to Xbox Live. Are you plugged in via Ethernet cable or are you wireless? If you're wireless can you please plug into your router with a cable to see if it works? Also please run through this network connection
solution, and let us know where you get hung up.

The password for your wireless network. Whenever you connect a new wireless device to your wireless network you have to type a passphrase to access your wireless network.

Hi byz,

Do you know if you have a duel band router? So sometimes this can be caused by chatter. Most likely your router is set to 2.4 frequency if you have a duel band router you could try and set up a second network with a 5 frequency and then just connect the
Xbox to that. But to be honest from what you are describing it does sound like your DCHP server on your router is not working correctly. your DHCP is what assigns private IP address and if your Xbox sometimes has a different IP to the one on your router than
they are not communicating correctly. Now maybe the issue is with the console but it is up to the router to give the IP address to the device not the other way around.

One other question, are you part of Xbox preview?

Must be the console then , you said it worked perfectly wired , so , i would wire it , better connection anyway...and cheaper than a repair...
