Xbox button takes to long to turn on

Ok so 3-4 years ago two controllers fell off our coffee table and one got a pice of plastic lodged in the trigger which I fixed by taking off the handle plate and removing it but the second controllers has this weird problem the xbox logo thing you know the one on the controller well it takes a while for it to register when you push it down a normal controller turns on in 1 second this one takes 4 to open the menu my holding it down it takes 1 on a normal one and it can’t you hold it down for 22 seconds (nothing happed for those 22 second and it gives you the What do you want to turn off screen) What do I do?
