    Xbox broke system in regards to updating credit card info and won't fix it.


    Here is a recent chat session I just had. No fix available for people who purely only have the console to work with. Store doesn't have the necessary scroll bars to update your information as they tried to make it look more like a computer screen instead
    of functioning how it was(which was workable) and also when trying to go into settings to update your card info you can't event select the card number or "next" to move along with it. So if you are purely a console user for Xbox you are **** of out luck once
    your current credit card expires until they fix their mistake. Oh and skynet apparently controls what updates and when they get released according to Junaline S. from support.

    Sorry to hear it. What type of billing info are you trying to add? The system will not accept pre-paid credit cards.

    You could also try updating your billing info at commerce.microsoft.com or contact phone support for more assistance. If you live in North America then dial 1-800-469-9269

    I am having the same exact issue. I was online trying to chat with Xbox support online but it seems like their support site is having issues because it won't load. I finally was able to chat with support on my phone and I told them the issue I was having.
    They person I was chatting with told me it was because I had to update my credit card information and the only way that they could update my information was through the chat room. They wanted me to give them my credit card information in the chat. I told them
    I wasn't comfortable with it and that if I had to I would just update the credit card info myself on my xbox. He told me that they only way they could fix my issue was to give them my credit card info. It seemed really shady and I told them no way. I find
    it hard to believe that the only way Xbox/Microsoft could help me was by giving them my credit card through chat.

    Go to your account options on xbox.com

    most likely you need to update your address info, credit/debit card info, or anything of that sort.

    If you do have a credit/debit card linked to your account, the error could be fixed by checking the expiration date and/or the 3 digit security code on the back of the card.

    Does the credit card allow you to put in a valid address and name? Microsoft does require that to input the card into the system. if it does then you can go on the website for the card and update that info and then you should be able to put it on your account.

    if you buy the live cards you will still need to update your info if you have a credit card on file just remove it and you will no longer be asked to update, if it wont allow u to change anything form your xbox just call support and they will fix it and
    yu will no longer get messages.
