"Xbox Broadcast" - How To Use?

I've never used Twitch before, so am new to the experience. I signed up a twitch.tv account on their site, but have seen no way to associate that with the Xbox, so maybe that's irrelevant. I installed the Twitch app on Xbox One, made sure all my sharing
and Kinect settings are correct based on the information I've gotten from here......but when I'm in a game and say, "Xbox Broadcast", it simply brings up the Twitch app that shows all the available broadcasts to watch. I get nothing that allows me to broadcast
my own game. Why would this be?

Here a few thing. Are you old enought used said services. Have u dl the needed app. And have KINECT connected to you XB1.

I'm having the same issue. I followed the Video Walk through on how to set up the Broadcast, and as RickSlayer had said, I use the command "Xbox, Broadcast" and it just switches me to the Twitch Page.

Yes, I do have the latest console update. Any further suggestions. Game I am trying to Broadcast is BF4, or Twitch.

Does it have to do with Enthernet vs Wireless?

 

I'm having the same exact issue.

Tried on many games, reinstalled twitch. Kinect is showing the "Broadcast" option but it won't broadcast.

 

As per the update blog post (majornelson.com/.../xbox-one-march-system-update-rolling-out-today), Twitch streaming will not be in effect until
the 11th when the Twitch app is updated.

Once the new version of the Twitch app is out, you will be able to link your Xbox account with your twitch account, and stream with ease.

Thought it was apart of the Update on March 4th. So the Twitch update will be on the 11th of March alongside with Titanfall. Good to know.

 

The update to Twitch should be rolling out now (I just got it). You'll know that you have it if you see Broadcast and Log In buttons in the left button stack.

 

This twitch update is SO BROKEN. after the update every time i open the twitch app. something happens, no other app, no games after that can open and the xbox one wont turn off at all. The only way to reset this is to do a hard reset. THERE IS NO EXCUSE
WHY THIS APP IS MAKING THIS MACHINE DIE. no excuse!

 

Yeah the twitch update defiantly screw something up.

Can you tell me exactly what you're doing and what happens? I assume that when you refer to the update you're talking about the Twitch update? If you run Twitch exactly what happens? Are you able to return to Home? Can you close the Twitch app? Are you launching
Twitch full screen or are you playing a game and then launch it and/or snap it? I agree, there is no reason why this update should be causing you problems. I'd like to help you get back up and running if I can. :/

 

Yeah I'm having the same problem with Twitch. It doesn't let me broadcast just keeps coming up "checking broadband connection" after I close the snap and twitch app I have to hard reset to turn the Xbox off.

When you say that after you close the snap/Twitch app are you just unsnapping it or are you closing the app completely? If you have to hard reset the console does that mean that other things are wrong after you close down (or unsnap) the Twitch app?

 

Yup...same problems with the twitch update. It doesn't broadcast when you try and after that apps won't open and the system won't shut down...have to do a reset by holding the power button.

 

I unsnap the twitch app and close it. After that I find that you cannot use any apps in snap mode, the twitch app no longer will open and when you try to turn the xbox off the screen goes off but the Xbox doesn't turn off you just see the lights stay on.
