  3. I wonder what your type of console it is.

    Could you at least specify?

  5. As an Insider, it passed through alpha, beta, delta and omega rings with no issue like this. Due to how few are reporting problems, would point to a hardware fault that coincided with the update.

It is rare that a software update would brick a console. Knowing which models of Xbox are involved would help.

  6. If you are in the insider program, you should be posting this issue in the Insider pages on Reddit. These forums do not offer support for the insider program.

  7. Hi, did you actually read my post I was pointing out that this OS had passed through the Insider Preview, without this issue and pointing out that it could be a coincidence that a hardware failure happened. I am fully aware of bug reporting process
    thanks

  8. Xbox Bricked after Microsoft mandatory update.

    I have a model 1540.

Yeah, I understand that it sounds as though there may be a hardware issue.

Here is my issue with that claim. Last update, I had a similar problem. I had to hard reset the system for the previous update to go through and my console to run.

Now with this new update, my console was working beautifully the day prior as it had been for the past however many years I have had it. Really, I actually got to give them credit, this thing has been running for many years wonderfully.

However, the day the update goes out and my console tries to update it fails. The exact second the update hits my xbox it bricked.

Now if you are implying that it "just so happened" by "coincidence" my console experienced an unrelated hardware issue at the exactly time it had to update. I would say that is a 1 in 564621654 chance. I know it's not. I have too much evidence proving otherwise.

Secondly. let's say it does have a hardware issue but the update just revealed that and thus its broken.

I DON"T find that acceptable or my fault. When it comes down to it, regardless of how you look at this situation, THE UPDATE bricked my console.

I am really sad, I thank you for trying to be constructive and help me avoid confusion here, but trust me, I am not confused or incorrect on my prognosis here. Their update, regardless of what testing they did, regardless of what you are told, the update
    broke my console.

  9. Yes, many times. If you take the time to read my post, you will see the steps I have gone through. Edit number 1 and 2 I made to my post describe my further attempts to fix it.

Nothing works. I have followed all instructions set by the support link, I have brought it to the Microsoft store and they did the same things. Nothing works. I have even gone further and tried multiple different drives to install the update as well as multiple
different USB ports on my console.

I have tried everything I can outside of running unsigned code. Which of course we are not allowed to do.

  10. Depending on which Xbox one it is, you may want to schedule a repair. It sounds like a hardware issue.

  11. Yeah like I just told you bro, it is not a fault of my console. It is not defective, the update it. Regardless of any reasoning you throw at me, the thing was fine before the update, now when trying to install the update it is bricked.

I would be happy to schedule a repair if they do it for free, however I am out of warranty.

I AM NOT paying 140 dollars for their mistake. They broke my console, it didn't break on it's own.

So, my question is, it appears that I am now having trouble with my controller signing itself out. I Sign in, it signs out,. I tried hard start , entered error could my box gave me, got " no such code" message.. I see the update strings and wonder if that
is the cause of my problem as well. It is not my internet as it has worked for the last 2 years. The whole thing has worked well for the last two years. So if its related to an update WHY do we need to DO anything. Sounds like people are going through a lot
of aggravation, and all microsoft is saying is You guys need to jump through these hoops to fix it. Genious! Lets get our customers to fix the problems we created, Brilliant!

    Lol right!

I haven't gotten a whole lot of people doing this, but you got to love the people who reply to threads like this and blame the guy experiencing the problem.

I know it's not my consoles fault, I know it isn't a defect with my system. Even if it was, it was triggered by the update. Worked fine for years and the prior days before it. The second the update hits my Xbox is bricked.

There is not room for any other variables, the update did it. It's a fact. Now it's on me to fork up 140 dollars for a repair or just buy a new console. I almost feel like that is their plan.
