    Xbox bluetooth adapter and PC


    So I've been using the Xbox Bluetooth adapter to connect my Bluetooth turtle beach headset to a gaming laptop and it stopped working suddenly, so far I have tried to restart my computer and connect the adapter again, that didn't work, I can't find the adapter in device manager so that's been no use, and disabling and enabling the usb ports hasn't done any good, when I plug in the adapter nothing happens, the light that is on the adapter won't flash even when pushing the button, I don't know what to do to fix this since I'm pretty new to computers however if anyone on here can help me it would be very appreciated.

    Xbox controllers for windows 10

    The Bluetooth controllers don't come with an adaptor, is has Bluetooth built in. The device it connects to need to have Bluetooth to work, if your PC doesn't then you need to get a Bluetooth adapter for the PC.

    The wireless part of the controller works on a unique frequency only for the xbox controllers, so it won't work with WiFi, so for your PC to use the Xbox Wireless part, you would need the Xbox Wireless Adapter.

    do you have the wireless xbox adapter for pc plugged in (needed for wireless connection), or are you using bluetooth on the pc (needed for bluetooth connection to the controller).

    the following three ways to connect the controller:

    1. USB C cable

    2. Bluetooth

    3. Wirelessly using the xbox wireless adapter for windows 10 (about 24.99 from retailers)

    thanks for responding. Thats my point, I have a keyboard and bluetooth adapter, but the adapter isnt powered when put in the Xbox, but fine on the PC.
