  1. Xbox Blu ray player still out of sync

Since I've had the Xbox (day one) the blu ray player has intermittently played discs completely out of sync. The audio is sometimes a full second off.

I've been waiting patiently for this to be fixed but instead see new features (3d, media player) being added while this is ignored.

It's unusable as is. The sound is a full second off and it is so annoying when it happens half way through a movie.

BTW the problem happens on and off randomly. Turning the console on and off doesn't work and neither does turning on or off 24p. I've also tried installing the app on a faster portable drive.

Please help or give an update on the situation. Why is this problem being ignored? It's such a silly and lazy thing to be happening on such a straight forward feature.

I'm forced to keep my ps3 in the room. I thought this was an all media device?

What's going on here? Please give me an answer. I'm starting to get really frustrated with all these little issues.

    :)

    Bluray out of sync

I'm having trouble with Lip-sync also. Tried Star Trek The Next Generation Season 2 Blu-ray it was really badly out of sync. Also tried Battlestar Galactica Season One Blu-ray, not quite as badly out of sync but was still out of sync.

How is your audio connected? Are connected to an a/v-receiver or the TV? Is this happening with all possible audio settings? Have you tried switching between 50 and 60Hz already? Are you having any audio or video enhancers activated on your TV?

  5. I have tried switching. It's a sound bar plugged into the TV with an optical cable. The Xbox is connected to the television through HDMI. I've tried everything. It works sometimes and other times it doesn't.

Keep in mind that other devices work fine. This is exclusive to the blu ray player app on the Xbox one.

Is this also happening, when you connect the soundbar directly to the xbox?

What audio settings are you using for the hdmi connection? I know that there are issues when using DTS over hdmi. Have you ever tried a different setup there?

  7. I use the uncompressed audio setting. I'm not going to plug the sound bar directly into the xbox. That's way too inconvenient. Besides - and I must stress this - this issue is exclusive to the blu ray app.

I see. Having the bar connected directly is just a suggestion for testing purpose to see if the problem persists. Because of it persists you may be in need of having the console fixed. It was not intended as permanent solution Xbox Blu ray player still out of sync ;)

I've also had blu-ray problems since day one, both with out of sync and stuttering. I've had my system replaced through the Microsoft warranty program and the new one is the same, either audio and/or video stutters intermittently. I'm pretty sure it's
the blu-ray app. Which really isn't a big surprise considering how terrible the OS is it's no wonder the blu-ray app is terrible.

  10. I'm sorry bobmcfly. I didn't mean to come off snippy. I appreciate you trying to help. I guess I'm a little fed up with little issues.

I did try hooking it up directly. Both with the sound bar and my astro A50's. Unfortunately, the problem persists. (Intermittently)

It is my understanding that this happens to everyone who uses the app. Am I mistaken?

NP Mikey, I did not get that as being snipppy Xbox Blu ray player still out of sync ;)

At least this shows us, that it is indeed a problem with the app on your console.

Would you please try some further steps?

First, please perform a system cache reset. Hold the powerbutton of the One for about 15 seconds. Keep it holding even if the One turns off after some seconds. Then wait for the power supply to change its color to orange and power on the console again.

After that please go to the settings and clear the persisteant cache of the blu ray drive. Please do this 3(!) times.

Then check if the issue persists.

And FYI I use the blu ray app and are connected to an AV-receiver by the optical out and do not have issues. So it's not everyone experiencing this issue. So this should tell us it should be possible to get it fixed on your console, too.
