Xbox Blu Ray App Not Working

Hi

I currently have an issue where I' am unable to play DVD's. I downloaded the Blu Ray app and when it goes to play the movie I get the blu ray screen. The little circle is there like it's loading but I can hear the movie playing. Yesterday I spent an hour
and a half on the phone with the tech support. We did everything. Even talked to the Network department to see if it was our internet. We changed all kinds of stuff with our internet. When we tried again, same issue. The line for some reason disconnected.
I don't know what to do. I don't understand why it won't work

Black panther 4K UHD DVD problem

Bought Black Panther 4K dvd, won’t working on blu-Ray app?! Only blu-ray film is ok but not 4K?! Can you explain me why? I’ve resets Xbox x and still same!

I dont think they can fix it and they have even started locking threads on the subject.

The X1 is amazing for gaming but it struggles with anything else imo!

The menu button on the xbox one media remote does not work in the blu ray app. It will not pull up the blu ray dvd menu. The menu button on the gaming remote will pull up the blu ray menu. Can you notify me when this is resolved. The menu button does work
every where else except in the blu ray app.

Does the dashboard freeze up as well? My first xbox one did not work with blu ray, skipped and glitched out, dashboard froze. Uninstalled app as per microsoft dashboard was fine xbox worked, reinstalled app, froze and poor blu ray playback. They sent new
one has not been an issue with the few blu rays I have watched so far fingers crossed.

The Xbox One S is fully capable of playing Blu-Ray and DVD movies, especially 4K UHD Blu-Rays. You just have to download the Blu-Ray app: https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/apps/bluray-info

Otherwise, any HDMI-capable device will work through the HDMI-in port on the Xbox One.

The latest update did not fix the playback issue with Game of Thrones Season 3 on Blu-Ray.

Some users may encounter the error that was causing the Xbox to not read the disc, again, even after updating the Blu-Ray player app.

To work around this, fire up the Blu-Ray app with no disc in your Xbox.

You'll be prompted that there is no disc in your drive.

Insert Game of Thrones season 3 blu-ray into your drive.

Set up and install the Blu-ray and DVD player app on Xbox

To watch Blu-ray or DVD movies on your Xbox console, you first need to install the Blu-ray Player app. To install the app, choose one of the following options.

Press the Xbox button to open the guide, select Home, and then select Store.

Select Search and enter Blu-ray in the search bar. Select the Blu-ray Player app when it appears in the list of results.

Select Install to download and install the app.

Insert a Blu-ray or DVD disc into your Xbox.

Select the Blu-ray Player app when it appears.

On the Blu-ray Player app details page, select Install.

Your disc should start playing automatically.

After the app is installed, you can watch Blu-ray or DVD movies by inserting the disc into your Xbox console and selecting Blu-ray Player on the Home screen, or by finding it under My games & apps
