XBOX Black Screen (seen a couple asking similar bumping to keep it up top)

Xbox was working a few hours ago, went to work came home and now when I power up its just a black screen, can see notification pops and can get the menu from holding down the guide button on controller but cant access dashboard or games at all, have tried restarting, removing and replacing wires, hard restart, low res mode and even usb factory reset and nothing, **** is going on seen a couple with similar sounding issues

I have the same problem since yesterday.
I think it may be due to an update with an error.
I'm on the insider alpha program so it's more likely a bug.
I think the only thing we can do is wait for it to be fixed with an update

@Smwutches. The thread is still relevant and was not "bumped". "Bumping" is when someone adds a single word to a thread to keep it at the top of a list of threads. This did not happen here. THere are intelligent folks here trying to discuss a topic and share
similar experiences.

It's hard to say whether this is an Xbox One console or Samsung HDTV issue. I have seen other reports in the forums about similar short black screen issues and even experience it myself intermittently with my Day One Xbox One and Samsung KS8000.

IIRC, one forum poster theorized it may be related to a failed notification (ie a pop up should appear but instead the whole screen goes black temporarily) or is somehow related to when an update for a game or app becomes available. I'll try to keep an eye
on game updates in future to see if there is a correlation between black screens and available updates.
