XBOX Binge Watch and Play Sweepstakes Winner? Need Confirmation on if this is legit!

Hello! I am trying to find out if the email I received from "HelloWorld" formerly known as "ePrize" is legitimate or not... It states that I won one of the 10 first place prizes, but have tried reaching out to XBOX Support and they have no information on
the promotion or who was doing it, etc. If anyone can help me confirm if this is legit and I should complete the form and return it, I would be VERY appreciative! I will include a copy of the email below... Marking out my name on the email, though it is correct.

We're happy to let you know you’re a winner in the Xbox Binge Watch and Play Sweepstakes! You've won an Xbox One + Kinect, twenty (20) Xbox One and Xbox 360 digital game tokens, and a $100 Microsoft promotional gift card which has an approximate retail
value of $1,750. Congratulations!!

To confirm your win, please complete a Declaration of Compliance ("Declaration"). If you are under the age of 18 your parent or guardian should complete the "Under 18" Declaration on your behalf. It's included with this email.

Please fully complete the Declaration and return a signed original to HelloWorld, the administrator of this promotion. You'll find the mailing address and fax number on top of the Declaration. It must be received within
seven (7) calendar days of this email. If you do not return your Declaration within this timeframe, we will need to draw another winner.

Have you actually entered any prize draws??

It sounds like a total scam to me, the info you have to give in the declaration would be the give away for me.

 

Yeah, I did what was needed to enter, and the gentleman from the company who contacted me already responded and provided the website from the promo:

It all sounds and looks legitimate, that's why I would like someone that has information on this to verify it before I release my details...

 

Clearly they have most of your details already, if they are asking for any passwords or security questions attached to your account i certainly would not hand them out.

 

Yeah, they don't ask for any passwords or security questions related to my account. Just verification of identity and such to confirm the reward... And that website has the same company information listed on it as the people doing the promotion on behalf
of Microsoft... It seems legit and I am shocked, I want this to be true and hope a mod or someone with more official information can reply!

I posted there, but, I can't really wait the "up to 3 days" bit.. I have to complete and return this by the deadline and don't want to risk it being late in the mail...

I guess I am going to just have to trust them, and look forward to seeing my name on the winners list soon as it is released Still, would like to have verification to ease my worries, I never am this lucky lol

 

You really shouldn't have to give them anything other than you name, address, phone number, and maybe xbox user name in order to claim your prize. Other than that I wouldn't give them any account numbers, social security numbers, credit card numbers, drivers
license, passwords, etc. If they want any of that stuff it's dead give away that they are trying to steal your money or identity.

I'm curious, what info do they want you to give them?

 

What personal info do you need to share? If you just need to share your name, address, phone # and so on, it should be fine. Also, since this is a big win, considering the contest is for an Xbox One a ton of game tokens and $1750 gift card. They need to
collect info for taxes and all that nonsense, since the prize package is well worth over $2000.

 

They asked to fill out a former accepting the prizes...gotta fill out the basic info

Name, address, phone #, and then social security for tax reasons since the prizes are over $600 and we have to fill a 1099 when it comes to income tax time
