Xbox billing system

So if you add xbox currency into your account (using those cards with the 25 - digit codes on them), and you add a credit card onto the account as well, will a purchase drain from the currency currently in the account, or straight from the credit card?

Actually you can buy prepaid Gold time cards in 3 and 12 month increments. You may also buy a large variety of Xbox gift cards that store money in your account for games and app purchases.

I'd also point out to you that the Terms of Service agreement for Xbox LIVE--a legally binding contract--specifically states that no child under the age of 13 is to be left alone on the service and must be directly monitored by a guardian at all times. If
your grandchildren were over 13 and made these charges then I'd get on your children to not only reimburse you but to teach their kids the difference between proper and improper behavior. If your grandchildren were under 13 then you as the account holder
had a legal, contractual obligation to monitor them at all times.

 

Microsoft Billing System

The billing system associated with Microsoft and Xbox is totally unfair and there is no true security. One you establish a Microsoft Live account anyone can download games or other applications without your permission and you have no way to dispute the
charges. I was charged over $100.00 during the Christmas season because my grandchildren were visiting. There should be
purchasing codes established
each time anyone attempts to download. After the downloads were processed Xbox Support informs me that parental controls and pass codes should be established. Why after the fact should such controls be established? To top it all off, there is no other
available method for paying Microsoft Live account other than direct debit. They allege that they take
security serious yet they allow unauthorized charges to be charged to your account. When you attempt to contact them you must go back and forward with security issues before they even TALK to you.

When you go to complete a purchase, it will default to using your credit card initially but when you go to complete the purchase it will ask if you want to use the remaining currency in your Microsoft Account. If you click no then the full amount is deducted
from your credit card, but if you choose to use it the currency will be deducted and if it can't cover the amount the remaining amount is charged to your card. Let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks,
