    Xbox Beta (PC) app won't install specifically "A Plague Tale" game.


    The game:

    A Plague Tale: Innocence - Windows 10

    Problem:

    Clicking the install button causes it to change to "preparing" then brings me back to the green install button again. Game won't install, and won't uninstall.

    Possible cause:

    I had plague tale installed with the Origin launcher about a year ago but deleted it back then.

    Other possible cause, Xbox Beta engine has a problem handling an error exception from the installation of this game.

    Question:

    How do I further diagnose the problem? I don't know where logs are for this xbox beta app in windows, so I can't tell what errors may be occuring to prevent the game from installing.

    Originally, I thought the game wouldn't install because my hard drive was full. So i deleted a bunch of games, now I have 130 Gigs free, it still won't install.

    All my other games are installed fine it is just this one acting up.

    Please let me know what information I can gather for you to help investigate this one further.

    But it worked fine with every other game (Outer World, Plague Tale etc.) I downloaded via the Xbox App.

    Do you see the transaction for the game on your order history?

    A: Yes, I have the order for Xbox Game Pass for PC (Beta)

    Do you see the license for the game in your game list on the website?

    A: No, but then again, I don't see a licence for Gears of War 4, either, and this game runs without a problem

    We recommend making sure that you are signed in to the Xbox Console
    Companion app     with the account that owns the game.

    A: I am logged in accordingly, and it still doesn't work.

    I've noticed something though. After I ran WSReset.exe, the game still wouldn't launch.

    So I've uninstalled it, wanting to reinstall it from the Microsoft Store (not the Xbox Beta app).

    When I looked for it in the store, the game had the following message (instead of the install button):

    "Bloodstained Ritual of the Night is currently unavailable"

    Any other game I've searched for (Gears 5, Gris, My Friend Pedro, A plague tale, etc.) they are listed as "Owned" and I can install and play them.

    Is there any problem with this specific title working on PC?

    Can anybody install it (as we should be able to)?
