Xbox (beta) PC app - all games give error 0x800704c6 when downloading

Hello all,

I have been having this problem for 2 days now and i have tried all the troubleshooting steps on the internet with no help.

Here goes:

-when trying to install any game from my Ultimate Pass, it downloads roughly 200MB and then the speed drops to 0 KB/s. After about 1 minute of waiting it throws error 0x800704c6 with the error message "We couldn't connect you to the service"

-if I hit resume, it resumes, download another 2-3-500 MB and stops again with the same error

-while downloading the speed varies wildly from 1-200 KB/s up to 20-30 MB/s

As i said, i have already tried everything - from clean boot to installing all possible updates and also resetting all the apps related to the store and the store itself.

Kind of bummed as i just bought an RTX 2080TI and wanted to play Metro and Gears...but with these download problems...

Any help or ideas anyone?

Hello,

Getting 'We couldn't connect you to the service.' error with code: 0x800704C6.

This happens when downloading games from Microsoft Store app or within the Xbox (Beta) app.

I've tried to do troubleshooting steps of: https://beta.support.xbox.com/help/games-apps/troubleshooting/troubleshoot-games-windows-10

But no changes.

Someone posted this already (Link) and they fixed with upgrade of Router Firmware, but mine is already
up to date (for reference Asus RT-AC87U).

Check to see if the internet is running good in the test internet connection. Also see if the xbox servers are down at xbox support.

This problem still persists. I get huge fluctuations when downloading and I have a 200Mbps fiber line. It stops to download every 5min or so with error: We couldn't connect you to the service, error
0x800704c6.

How can this still not be fixed! I don't have these issues on Steam or any other Gaming platform.

What router do you have? The same is a mistake (0x800704c6) for me.

Same for me, it is really frustrating. Reinstalled windows, but the same issue.
