[XBOX(Beta) Installing FH4 on PC, 5-9mb/sec dl speed?

There is a difference between a Bit and a Byte. 1 byte = 8 bits

When your isp says 75Mbps ( notice the lower case b ) they say Mega-bits-per seconds

The download speeds you are referring to are MB/Sec --> Mega BYTES per seconds.

so your theoretical top download speed should be around 9MB/Sec with a 75Mbps connection

I'm on 30Mbps Fiber and i get about 3.7MB/Second download

SInce yesterday my upload speed has gone from the usual 7 or 8 mb/sec to one mb/sec or less .. can't play Halo 5, i get kicked as soon as the game starts. Had my ISP out here, got new modem, direct connection to it and so on, but the upload remained horrible,
while the download is normal and the PC's here show normal upload speeds.

Is this the xbox servers that is throttling the upload?

I actually did a performance test...the results were decent I purchased an external docking station for a desktop drive and a 2TB SSHD which spins at 7200 RPM. This is the results:

Xbox One Sata II 5400RPM stock HDD:

Game: Metal Gear Solid 5 (disc 4GB) -

Install Time: 5:51

Load: 43 secs.

Saved Game Load Time: 24 secs.



Game: Battlefield 4 (digital 40+gig-didnt test install speed, just load)

Load: 33 Secs.



Game: COD Ghosts (digital 40+gig-didnt test install speed, just load)

Load: 29 secs.



After External Attached:



Xbox One External Sata III USB 3.0 2 Terabyte SSHD 3.5inch Sata III 7200RPM Seagate on Docking Station

Game: Metal Gear Solid 5 (disc 4GB) -

Install Time: 5:43

Load: 36 Secs.

Saved Game Load Time: 23 Secs.



Game: Battlefield 4 (digital 40+gig-didnt test install speed, just load)

Load: 19 Secs.



Game: COD Ghosts (digital 40+gig-didnt test install speed, just load)

Load: 19 Secs.



In conclusion I would say the load times of games are impressive but the write times didnt change much. I have a 2TB sata III 5400rpm 2.5" external seagate hdd coming in the mail to test that next because I didnt like the fact the docking station
for the 3.5" drives have to be manually powered on or off, or just leave it on non-stop and ruin the drive faster.

Remember Xbox One has 300,000 Azure Xbox Live servers, a difference compared with the 15,000 Xbox Live servers for Xbox 360. This WILL help with download speeds. Even if you have ADSL Broadband speeds at around 9MB/s down and 0.9MB/s up and if it's less
than a gig, should only take you around 5 minutes. It's not like the Update is going to be super big.

With my experiences with Xbox 360. My speed is around 9MB down 0.9MB up. When I downloaded a TDU2 patch about 1.2GB big, it took me a little over an hour to complete @ ADSL Broadband speeds. Yet when I download a 1.2GB file off the internet onto my PC, it
takes much less than that. Why? Because there are only 15,000 Xbox Live servers worldwide for Xbox 360. Believe me the more servers for Xbox One should help eliminate bottleneck/multiplayer/downloading/etc. When I play COD Black Ops 2 and join a friends party
who live in the US (I live in NZ) I have a 1 red bar they have 5 or full green bars, but when I invite THEM to a party, it's vis versa. This isn't because they got crap ISP. It's because there are only 15,000 Xbox Live servers for Xbox 360. Nuff said.

Hi ScarletSpider85, What version of the App are you using? Are you also experience this issue with Xbox App Beta? You can DL the beta version by going to the store on your PC and searching "Xbox App Beta".
