Xbox Beta Game Pass PC Error code 0x80070780

Hi,

I have a problem with installing Wolfenstein II on PC with the Xbox Game Pass. I always get the Error code 0x80070780. In my side bar I keep seeing that the PC wants to install Windows Visual C++2015 and DirectX Runtime but this is already installed. I found
another post on this forum where someone suggests deleting visual c++2015 and reinstalling it but this also doesn't resolve the problem.

Can somebody help me with this?

Hello Amber,

Yes, the thread I was referring to is the one you mentioned.

This solution hasn't worked for me. But I also wasn't able to delete the already downloaded game. Maybe if I delete it completely and start over, it will work. Can you tell me where the xbox game pass app saves the downloaded games? I haven't been able to
find this and I also can't uninstall the game in the app like I can with the other installed games.

Hi Scr3p84, thanks I already tried but in my case didn't help...anyway the app is in Beta and the game pass is AWESOME!!

Hi Fabio,

After manually removing and reinstalling Windows Visual C++2015 and DirectX Runtime, it first still didn't work.

But than suddenly the game worked and I still don't know why but no problems anymore.

Maybe it will work for you also after doing this.

If you have already attempted the solution provided in this thread and are still having the same issue pop up after troubleshooting, I would recommend attempting to troubleshoot a bit further using our support article entitled Troubleshoot
game installations on Windows 10.

Additionally, assuming you have exhausted all troubleshooting available, and aren't able to locate the feedback area itself within the app, you may also report any issues via the Insider's Hub app(either on a console or your PC) or on the Insider's Subreddit.
You don't necessarily need to be an Insider to use this tool, but the data you provide goes directly to the engineers/devs for convenience.
