xbox (beta) download speeds

Guess that's why they call it a Beta. But seriously, the download speeds are terrible, and after several attempts at downloading, I am thinking ... Microsoft should inform users download speeds may be sub-optimal. Maybe I should have just invested in a
Xbox.

This has been an issue since the service launched, and is still an issue on ALL dl's associated with the PC App. Please don't try to whitewash a massive problem with the service that Xbox seems to not care about; they've had months to address this and I
am, RIGHT NOW, getting 4 Mb/s on a dl.

I could literally go to Steam and start a DL 15x bigger than what i'm doing on the Xbox PC app and it would get done first.

sorry to hear. I think at the moment there are some servers simply overwhelmed, the service was apparently surprised by the onslaught on some games. Of course it is annoying, but I assume that MS will ensure that the stable network (familiar from the console)
is available at the computer as well. Please don't forget that there is no gold compulsion compared to the console!

Its all about your net speed i've just downloaded the beta in 25 min! XD

I tried this and it works for about 30 seconds (even getting up to full 1Gb speed of my connection) and then immediately back down to <1Mb speeds. This is absolutely unusable, will have to cancel and charge back honestly.

Edit: I think I was able to fix it by disabling "Allow downloads from other PCs" The moment I unchecked that setting in "Delivery Optimization" I got a steady 100Mb/s Still absolutely intolerable for a service from a fortune 50 company but at least usable.

So to be clear:

- Start menu search for settings

- Settings search for delivery and select elivery Optimization Settings

- Uncheck Allow downloads from other PCs
